Andy Epstein

Chief Financial Officer, Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey

Andy Epstein joined Jewish Federation of Northern NJ as Chief Financial Officer in 2021 after serving for 10 years as the Chief Financial Officer at Ascend Public Charter Schools, a network of charter schools in Brooklyn, New York.

While at Ascend, Andy supported the organization's growth from 3 schools and 1,000 students to 15 schools and over 5,500 students. Andy participated in several facilities financing transactions and oversaw all school and network operations as well as human resources at various times throughout his tenure. Prior to Ascend, Andy worked for 8 years in the music industry, holding a series of roles with increasing responsibility at Universal Music Group and the Island Def Jam label group. Earlier in his career, Andy was a middle school science teacher in the Bronx and a Teach for America corps member.
