Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island

Jennifer Zwirn is Chief Development Office of Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.

A former high school English teacher from a nationally-recognized Blue Ribbon district outside of Philadelphia, Jennifer Zwirn brings 25 years of professional experience in public education and policy design, writing and editing, and urban youth and mentor program development to the table, having forged key relationships with corporations seeking community footprints throughout Manhattan and its boroughs.

With the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island for a decade, Jennifer recently shifted from Chief Relationship Officer, turning strategic communal concepts into opportunities for local and global partners sharing vision and values while ranging in size and process, to Chief Development Officer, connecting support to the story for community investment in real time. Along with a dynamic skill set including grant writing, strategic planning, committee management, situational leadership, and social service expertise, Jennifer brings flexibility, humor, and compassion to the many roles she has had at the Jewish Alliance.

Jennifer holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Muhlenberg College (Allentown, Pennsylvania), and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, a combination of writing, psychology, and sociology with a concentration on gender inequity in the classroom from the New School for Social Research (New York, NY). A native of Connecticut and the mother of an incredible 10-year-old, Jennifer now resides in Rhode Island where summers make "all the other seasons" tolerable.
