Alachua Haskins serves as Learning & Engagement Director for The Bernard & Audre Rapoport Center for Jewish Culture & Education at Shalom Austin.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Near Eastern & Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and her Master’s in Jewish Education from Hebrew College, specializing in Interfaith Families Jewish Engagement. She began her decade-long career in Jewish education at the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) in Jackson, MS, first as an Education Fellow and then as the Cultural Programming Director. Alachua joined the team at Shalom Austin in Austin, TX five years ago, serving as the first Learning & Engagement Director for The Bernard & Audre Rapoport Center for Jewish Culture & Education. Outside of work, she enjoys singing 90s country music at karaoke, playing with her pup, and traveling.
