Rabbi Dena Shaffer is a passionate Jewish leader with a focus on enhancing the lives of young people and the adults who care about them. 

With an appreciation for the modern relevance of Jewish wisdom and transformational spiritual and educational experiences, Rabbi Dena seeks to raise the profile of teens and their wellbeing as a Jewish communal priority.  She currently serves as the Director of Learning and Engagement for the Jewish Teen Education and Engagement Funder Collaborative, powered by Jewish Federations of North America.  With rabbinic ordination and a certificate in Jewish education for adolescents (HUC-JIR ‘10 & ’14), Rabbi Dena brings expertise in adolescent development, experiential education, relationship building, and community structural change.
