Alisa Bodner

Alisa Bodner serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives at Jewish Federations of North America. She has nearly 15 years of experience in nonprofit management, with a focus on leading development campaigns, overseeing strategic partnerships and managing communications.
A native of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Alisa lived in Israel for 11 years before she arrived at Jewish Federations. In prior roles she served as Director of Development for Jewish National Fund affiliate LOTEM, and built a donor relations and communications program for major stakeholders at Taglit-Birthright Israel.
In her prior role at Jewish Federations, Alisa was responsible for the press operations on the communications team, where she elevated the visibility of Jewish Federations in Jewish and mainstream media through impactful storytelling and relationship management.
Alisa is passionate about Jewish peoplehood, social responsibility and tikkun olam. She has a Masters from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Jewish history and enjoys writing, hiking and playing soccer and Scrabble in her free time.
