Alexandra currently leads the firm’s Exempt Organizations tax practice.
She has over 15 years of experience in tax planning and compliance for tax-exempt organizations. Her experience includes serving as a technical resource and providing transactional analysis and consulting for tax-exempt organizations and their donors. Alexandra also represents tax-exempt organizations before the IRS with respect to private letter ruling requests, determination letters and IRS examinations. In addition, she advises clients with respect to legislative and regulatory matters.
Alexandra provides assistance to educational institutions, hospitals, private foundations, charities, social welfare organizations, trade associations, social clubs, governmental entities, museums and other cultural institutions, religious organizations, athletic organizations, political action committees, and their managers, advisors, and contributors. In addition, she regularly advises individuals, partnerships, and corporations on charitable contributions.
Alexandra also advises private equity and hedge funds with respect to tax-exempt investors, including the use of blocker corporations, transitory indebtedness, and unrelated business taxable income.
Prior to joining RSM, Alexandra spent more than eight years in the Washington National Tax office of a Big Four accounting firm and nearly five years as a tax associate in two different international law firms, advising clients on a variety of tax issues.
