Marketing & Communications Vice President, Shalom Austin

Wendy Goodman is the Marketing & Communications Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Shalom Austin with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to strategic growth. Her professional career was established in New York City, where she spent years gaining hands-on experience within the premier advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, various marketing and market research firms, and professional journalism. 

Wendy is from Austin, Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and completed her master’s degree at Brooklyn College, supplementing her academic background with volunteer work, non-profit initiatives, and professional certifications. Her work in filmmaking and documentary storytelling has also been recognized. She currently serves on the Austin PBS Community Advisory Board. 

Throughout her 20+ year career, she has focused on balancing creative storytelling with marketing analytics. This approach helps her lead integrated campaigns that encourage departments to work together and build authentic brand identities.
