Chief Marketing Officer, Jewish Federation of Greater Houston

Taryn Baranowski is the Chief Marketing Officer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, where she provides executive leadership for one of Houston’s most complex philanthropic institutions. She is a nonprofit executive who uses marketing and communications as a catalyst for fundraising, leadership, and organizational transformation. 

Since joining the Federation, Ms. Baranowski has helped reposition the organization as Houston’s central Jewish philanthropic convener and crisis-response leader. She has guided communications, marketing, and media relations and supported fundraising strategy for more than $50 million in emergency campaigns, including disaster relief, COVID response, and Israel emergency efforts, while also facilitating annual, capital, and special initiative campaigns.  

Previously, Ms. Baranowski held senior marketing leadership roles at the YMCA of Greater Houston and BakerRipley, overseeing large teams, significant budgets, earned media strategy, and high-volume community engagement initiatives.  

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Arts from Marquette University and has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of St. Thomas and Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. She was recently named a fellow in the upcoming American Leadership Forum Class 67.
