Steve Baker

Chief Philanthropy Officer, Minneapolis Jewish Federation

Steven Baker joined the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and Minnesota Jewish Community Foundation in February 2022 as the Chief Philanthropy Officer, where he oversees an integrated strategy and implementation of securing $25+ million in annual, community, legacy, and supplemental funding. Prior, Steven spent 16 years in nonprofit management with JEWISHcolorado, the Trust for Public Land, consulting, the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona, and BBYO. BBYO has been a large part of Steven’s life, from a teen leader to professional to volunteer. Steven holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University, a Certificate in Informal Jewish Education from Hebrew College, and BA from the University of Puget Sound in Business and Economics. Steven was a Fellow in the Mandel Foundation’s Executive Leadership Program.
