Jessica Brown Smith
Chief Operating Officer, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh
Jessica Brown Smith is the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, where she provides strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s most critical functions. In her role, she oversees community planning and impact, community relations, marketing and communications, Jewish life and learning, volunteer leadership development, and young adult engagement. Jessica led the development and implementation of the Federation’s comprehensive strategic plan approved by the Board in 2021, which has since been largely operationalized and embedded across the organization. Over the course of her nearly 30-year career with the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Jessica has held senior leadership roles spanning operations, development, and marketing, giving her a deep, cross-functional perspective on nonprofit management, governance, and community impact. Jessica is a graduate of the Mandel Foundation Executive Leadership Program, a member of the inaugural cohort of the Jewish Federation of North America’s Fundraising University, and a graduate of the Developing Executive Leaders Program with the Penn Cannon Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder.
