Lisa Ahnen

Melissa (Lisa) Ahnen, has been with CLA since March 2023 specializing in consulting for nonprofit organizations.  Lisa is currently the Industry Team Leader for the west nonprofit outsourcing group.  With over 17 years of diversified audit and accounting experience within the nonprofit sector, Lisa has comprehensive knowledge of all areas of nonprofit accounting.   

Before joining CLA’s nonprofit outsourcing group, Lisa worked as the Controller for a large nonprofit organization in Phoenix, Arizona for 10 years.  During her tenure there, Lisa gained comprehensive knowledge of board reporting, federal grant tracking, compliance and reporting, finance and accounting systems assessments and implementations, streamlining processes to create efficiencies, developing accounting policies and procedures, and implementation of technical accounting standards.  Prior to that role, she was an audit manager for CLA focusing on the nonprofit industry.
