Brian Eglash
Chief Development Officer, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh
Brian Eglash is the Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President, overseeing all development streams such as the annual campaign, Federation Foundation, development operations, supplemental giving, capital campaigns, corporate giving and government grants. Brian joined the staff of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh in 1997 as Assistant Planning Director and Partnership 2000 Coordinator. He has held several positions within the Federation including: Director of Allocations and Overseas Operations; Director of Agency Endowment Development; Director of Campaign and Financial Resource Development; and Senior Vice President & FRD. He is also a graduate of the Jewish Federations of North America's Mandel Executive Development Program.
Previously, he held multiple responsibilities at the Jewish Agency/World Zionist Organization in Jerusalem, Israel. He was Coordinator of Project OTZMA, Director of Sherut La'am, and eventually served as Director of Long Term English Language programs.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee (UWM) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science. He also holds a Masters of Arts degree from UWM in Educational Policy and Community Studies specializing in Middle Eastern/Contemporary Jewish studies. In December of 2015, Brian completed his Chartered Advisor of Philanthropy (CAP) designation from the American College of Pennsylvania and is a certified 21/64 Certified Advisor in family philanthropy.
Brian, his wife Rachel, now a dentist, daughter Daniella (also a dentist working for her mom) and son Yonathan reside in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
