Steve Gross is currently a Senior Director for Planned Giving & Endowments and Institutional Advancement at the Jewish Federations of North America. He brings a broad range of development and financial services experience to nonprofit boards and has worked at various commercial and investment banks on Wall Street. He currently leads JFNA’s efforts working with endowment and finance professionals in the Federation system, is lead staff for JFNA’s Investment and Endowment Committees and is responsible to administer charitable gift annuities on behalf of numerous intermediate and small sized Federations. Steve also established the Corporate Development Working Group cohort for those responsible for events and corporate sponsorships in their Federation’s community. 

Prior to joining JFNA, Steve worked at Save the Children in their philanthropic services group dealing with private banks, donor-advised funds, and diaspora giving. A native New Yorker, he completed an executive leadership program at Columbia University’s Institute for Not-for-Profit Management, received his MBA in finance from Adelphi University, and a BA in psychology from Binghamton University. He has been active in the community as an elected official for his district, served on several nonprofit and town boards, past board president of JFS Greenwich, and is currently on the board of JFS Colorado. During the pandemic he moved from the Upper West Side in NYC and now lives in Fort Collins.
