Associate Vice President, Community and Jewish Life , Jewish Federations of North America

Elan joined JFNA’s Community and Jewish Life team in 2022, with a focus on advancing strategies to elevate Jewish life across North American communities. Previously, Elan worked as Associate Program Officer at Maimonides Fund supporting the organization’s grantmaking in Jewish Life & Learning and Israel Engagement. A meaningful student experience with Hillel at UCLA inspired his journey to work on campus for 5 years at  

Columbia/Barnard Hillel. Elan has served as a delegate to the World Zionist Congress, representing the Reform Movement and the World Union for Progressive Judaism. He is an alum of The iCenter’s graduate program in Israel Education and The Pardes Institute of  

Jewish Studies. Elan has a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a master’s degree from George Washington University’s School of Education & Human Development.
