Dr. Michelle Caryn Paul

Organizational Psychologist and AI Adoption Consultant

Dr. Michelle Caryn Paul is an industrial-organizational psychologist and transformation leader who has spent more than 25 years helping organizations engineer human performance such that individuals experience fulfilling work and organizations optimize outcomes. She launched her consulting career in late-1990s Silicon Valley, guiding high-growth companies such as Adobe, Cisco, and Electronic Arts to strengthen human capital metrics and organizational health. Since then, she has helped government agencies, nonprofits, and commercial organizations tackle major organization-wide changes: adopting technology, redesigning job roles and teams, updating processes, and using organizational performance dashboards to celebrate successes and support ongoing improvements. As President of Equifinality Solutions, Dr. Paul now helps her clients maximize performance with a focus on adopting AI responsibly and ethically. Her advisory services include developing AI strategy and governance, upskilling employees, redesigning job roles and teams, and reinventing business processes with AI. 

An engaging speaker known for translating behavioral science into practical action, Dr. Paul has led workshops and delivered keynote addresses for Leading Edge/JPro25, DisruptHR, the Society for Consulting Psychology, the Inclusion Allies Coalition, and various Society for Human Resources Management local chapters. She earned a BA in Psychology and Sociology (summa cum laude) from Emory University and an MA and PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park.
