Leslie Pomerantz serves as Executive Director of Jewish Federations’ Fundraising Institute at the Mandel Center for Professional Excellence. With 35 years of leadership in Baltimore’s Jewish community, Leslie brings passion and expertise in program development, volunteer engagement, leadership training, event execution, and strategic fundraising. She’s known nationally for advancing best practices across the federation system. 

Her career highlights include directing the JCC Maccabi Games, serving as the founding Executive Director of Jewish Volunteer Connection, establishing the Center for Community Engagement & Leadership to mentor lay leaders, and acting as Chief Development Officer at The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. A former camp director and lifelong advocate for volunteerism, Leslie holds an MSW and an MA in Jewish Studies. 

She lives in Reisterstown, Maryland with her husband, is the proud mom of three grown children and one son-in-law, and is always happy to show photos of her two charming Cavapoos.
